About Dr. Dick Haid
Dick Haid is the former CEO of a 115-year old family business who transitioned
into a new career as an Adult Mentor. This occurred as he assessed the
abundance and possibility of the "third quarter" of his life. Dick's
passion is helping others discover the abundance and possibility of their "third
quarter".

Educational Pursuits
A Work in Progress
Dick received his B.A. in industrial personnel from Denison University,
an M.B.A. in insurance from Indiana University, and masters degrees
in financial services and management from the American College. In
1994 he received his Ph.D. from The Union Institute within two years of receiving his Medicare card. In earning his
degree, Dick explored career development, adult learning, family dynamics,
and personal transitions. Dick is continuing his learning and teaching
through a virtual-university approach. Dick has been a member of teaching
teams at the United Theological Seminary for 20 years and is now a mentor/adjuct for Doctoral of Ministry Students. For the Graduate
School of the Union Institute, he has served on the Graduate Alumni
Board and has led an innovative life-and-career-development seminar
for Union graduates. Dick also serves as a member of the faculty quality-assurance
committee and has been chosen by 14 doctoral learners as a member or
consultant to serve on their academic committees. Dick has served as a
judge for the Family Firm Institute on its awards committee for outstanding
worldwide family business research.
